Why a Bass sax???
It is unique, it makes me stand out, it attracts attention and it defines our group!
Nothing sounds like a Bass sax
It can moan so low and sweet and roar like a boisterous Lion
Its size alone attracts attention and if nothing else dwarfs small children in to believing its the biggest sax ever
(There is actually an Contra-Bass sax)
With skill the instrument is quite nimble, surprising for its size and it adds volume and
dimension to a quartet more than any other sax could
and does it with the simplest of notes and phrases
Some how its presence
has its own attraction
